Bethesda wants to bring more of its games to the Nintendo Switch—but Fallout 4 probably won’t be among them.
In a recent talk with GameReactor, Bethesda’s Todd Howard revealed that Bethesda had a lot of “interest” in bringing more games to Switch.
“Well, there’s definitely interest [in bringing Fallout games to Switch],” Howard said. “It’s not something that we are exploring right now. We think Switch is a great platform—it was the first time we really worked closely with Nintendo on Skyrim—and a really, really great experience and we’ll certainly be doing more things there in the future. But right now it’s not a mainline Fallout 4.”
Howard didn’t reveal what other games may be appearing on the Switch. Fallout 76, the next big Fallout game, is launching on only Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, as is Rage 2. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim received a Nintendo Switch port, so the far-distant The Elder Scrolls VI may be a possibility.
At the moment, though, it seems that Bethesda is focusing more on pushing out the games that are currently in development for other consoles. Still, Nintendo Switch fans will be glad to hear that some of these games might—just possibly—make their way onto the Switch in the future.
