ADG Exclusive: Going Deep With GIG-IT, Facebook’s And Music’s Biggest Game Ever

I’m not just an journalist, I’m an artist, a lover of fine arts and entertainment. No doubt music is one of those loves. I was introduced to a new game entitled GIG-IT. that will focus on music and the great social website of Facebook. I knew indeed this would be something special.

I spoke recently in a phone conversation with the CEO himself John Acunto about GIG-IT. We discussed everything from the love of music, to connecting the world through music, to the development of the game, and the vision of it. John Acunto is a man who wants to know that this game was made from a group of individuals who want to bring people together through the art of music and game like never before.

Some might be wondering what does GIG-IT consist of? What is the gameplay like? Is it puzzle? Is it a Facebook edition of Rockband. No. It’s none of that. The base way of describing this game is that it’s more of a concert simulation. You choose the music artists, the stage, the venues, the lighting, the choreography, and even the clothes for your performing act. You get scored based on all those features and more. As you advance you unlock more things such as top artist such as the likes of Lil Wayne.

Lil Wayne is just one of 60 plus stars in the game. John Acunto assures there will be more artists. A lot he could not mention but I can take it we can see this game’s musical roster to grow and get bigger in it’s lifespan.


Some of the confirmed artists along with Lil Wayne are Nas, Talib Kweli, Royce Da 5’9, Rick Ross, Ne-yo, 2 Chainz, Sean Kingston, and even Nas. Many can speculate on what you might see in this game. The game was designed with a superb foundation that it has so many different directions it could take in the future. From the chance of seeing old artist that have passed do it again to mix pop and rap artists into one great concert for ally genres and ages.

This game will be a big supporter to the music industry. Even if you are a group on the underground looking to get known. Gamers will be able to purchase music from low key artist to big time platinum artist. Other merchandise is told to be able to purchase through the game.

GIG-IT is the biggest musical game experience ever created. The fact that you will be able to use it on the massive platform on Facebook will make it even more massive. Facebook gamers have been spending a massive amount of hours on games like Candy Crush and Farmville have been warned as GIG-IT has been telling people on Twitter with the famous hashtag of  ” #ThisAintNoAnimalFarm ” The term ” This Ain’t No Animal Farm” has become the slogan of the game as they look to gain hype for the games release this spring.

I can tell you to expect big things from this game. John Acunto told me of all the time they spent on this gaming project over 3 years and a lot of money was put into this project. They have been on the road talking and working directly with the artist. They still are and continue to work with artists as GIG-IT launches and grows.

I’m looking forward to GIG-IT’s release and to hear more about the features and the artist that will be available. I’m truly a believer that.. #This Ain’t No Animal Farm.
