Today at its Digital Days event, Ubisoft® announced the development of two new games in the award-winning Assassin’s Creed® franchise.  One of those games, Assassin’s Creed® Liberation HD the high-definition adaptation of the PlayStation® Vita success, arrives on consoles and PC.

Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD features unique assassin gameplay mechanics, an immersive Assassin’s Creed storyline, and richly detailed high-definition graphics. Developed by Ubisoft Sofia, Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD is the striking chapter of the pre-American Revolution Assassin’s Creed saga, arriving for the first time as a digital title on Xbox® 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and PC.

The year is 1765. While the seeds of the American Revolution are being sewn in Boston and New York, Spanish forces in the South plot to seize control of Louisiana for the Templars, threatening to forever shift the balance of power in the New World. As Templars secretly take hold of the slave trade in New Orleans, Aveline de Grandpré, an assassin of mixed French and African heritage, stands ready to defend her people. She soon finds herself on an unforgettable journey that will take her from the crowded streets of New Orleans to voodoo-haunted swamps and ancient Mayan ruins. Whether eliminating her enemies with new assassination skills or luring them into cunning traps, Aveline strikes mortal fear into the hearts of those who would stand against freedom.

Arriving for the first time as a digital title on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, Assassin’s Creed® Liberation HD is the striking chapter of the pre-American Revolution Assassin’s Creed saga, featuring unique assassin gameplay mechanics, an immersive Assassin’s Creed storyline delivered in stunning high-definition.

Key Features

THE DEFINITIVE LIBERATION EXPERIENCE
Taking full advantage of its new hardware, Liberation HD introduces a complete graphical overhaul, re-mastered music and sound effects, a revamped gameplay experience, and new missions that dive deeper into Aveline’s story.
A CUNNING NEW ASSASSIN
As Aveline, the first playable female Assassin in the Assassin’s Creed saga, you must use your skill, instinct and weaponry – including a machete, poison-dart blowpipe, a whip and duelling pistols – to hunt down and eliminate your enemies. Change from disguise to disguise, assaulting your opponents directly as an Assassin, charming foes into vicious traps as a lady, or impersonating a slave to incite a riot to elude your pursuers.
DISCOVER THE FULL ASSASSIN’S CREED STORY
With a unique storyline that sheds light on the nefarious dealings of Abstergo Industries, Liberation HD also introduces Aveline, a new character in the Assassin’s Creed universe at the very heart of the escalating Assassin and Templar conflict in the New World.
SURVIVE THE NEW WORLD
Feast your eyes on a richly-detailed world, thanks to the AnvilNext engine which features groundbreaking physics, animation and innovative combat system. Outmaneuver your enemies in the Louisiana bayou with the unique Tree Navigation system, and eliminate them from above with deadly precision. Deep dive underwater as you search for lost Mayan treasures, but stay alert, for Aveline is not the only predator who stalks the hostile wilderness.

So more, more Assassin Creed goodness. Some fans have been saying theres too many games and too often. Well are you saying that about Call Of Duty and these other yearly game releases. Nevertheless the game looks good even if you don’t think you have enough time for it. Can’t wait to hear more about this in the near future.
