Borderlands 2 Week 4 Loot Hunt: 2K Offering Fans Keys To The ’2K Kingdom’

Posted on November 1, 2013 AT 01:47pm

2K Games has an announcment on behalf of everyone’s best friend*, Claptrap. Claptrap would like to let you know that the final week of the Borderlands 2 $100,000 Loot Hunt starts tomorrow, and the explosive Week 4 hosts – Tiny Tina and Mr. Torgue – are making sure that we go out with a bang!

As you know, the generous and benevolent Claptrap has had some pretty cool real-world prizes as part of this massive month-long in-game event, but this upcoming week’s prizes might just be a hardcore gamer’s dream come true. Five (5) lucky loot hunters will win keys to the 2K Kingdom in the form of a Steam key that grants lifetime access to every 2K game ever – past, present, and future. If you had to put a price tag on that, which for legal reasons we had to do, each key is the cash equivalent of more than $6,000, or in other words roughly three games a year for the next 20+ years. I’m actually jealous of whoever wins these!

In addition to the keys to the 2K Kingdom, twenty (20) people will win Borderlands 2 GOTY strategy guides from Brady Games. Of course, that’s in addition to the weekly cash prize for the final week of the Loot Hunt – which is at an all-time high of $20,000 – and the ongoing chance to win the $50,000 grand prize. Finally, for those in it simply for the in-game loot to be had, (and there are a lot of those people, because by Claptrap’s count more than 5,000,000 items have been looted thus far) Tina and Torgue will be serving up some hardcore community goals that yield sweet, sweet loot.

All of this awesomeness comes to an end next Saturday, November 9th.
