Halo 4 is definitely looking to live up to be the true Halo game fans have dreamed of. With the new game type, Flood, the successor to Infection you can go toe to toe with the Flood and see how long you can survive.

The development team wanted to recreate Infection and push this new mode to be different than previous version. Once humans are converted to Flood they are much faster and focus on melee attacks. This is a natural fit to make it a successor to Infection. The game mode is round-based, ten player game with the added twist of dynamic teams. So your X-Box Live party strategies won’t work to well here its every man for himself but its fun. The action is intense and every game is a new experience.

The beginnings of each round start with two players spawning as Flood and eight players as Survivors. Survivors are standard Spartans equipped with shotguns and magnums. The Flood move very quickly and can only use melee attacks. When a Survivor gets killed by the Flood, They respawn as the Flood. The round ends if a Survivor makes it to 3:00 or if all players are converted to flood. This game even features particular Flood medals.
