My Two Cents: DMC:Devil May Cry New York Comic Con 2012 Trailer Impressions

After seeing this trailer, I personally don’t understand all the hate. So, I figured this what be a perfect time for a quick My Two Cents article. While I haven’t got my hands on the game to play it. From the looks of the game-play, a lot of the traditional sword style and other things are still in there. Sure, the characters are redone and its under a Ninja Theory’s development. Does that really matter? Ninja Theory have been making good games and definitely slashers for many years. Capcom and Ninja Theory know games and what they need to do to put this game in a good direction for fans of the series.

Take a look at the New York Comic Con video and the initial product overview of Capcom and Ninja Theory.

Set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC will depict a duplicitous world where nothing is ever as it seems and the line between good and evil is constantly blurred. Spurred into action by the promises of a trusted relation, Dante bursts into this world intent on revenge at any cost. DmC will retain the series’ signature mix of sword and gunplay but add additional weapons, all new powers and a revitalised gameplay system as players encounter the game’s devilish mix of enemies and navigate the rich, interactive environment.

Mundus The King Of The Demon World. Art Render For DMC

Basically, what I’m trying to say is that after you look at this trailer you should have faith that the essence of the series is still there. The proof is in the pudding in all the actions scenes in the trailer.
