Short And Simple Review: Dishonored – Super Powered Assassin Hit

Bethesda is known for their incredible in depth game-play, storylines, and definitely one of the premiere developers and publishers in gaming today.  This incredible brand that is Bethesda saw great light in Arkane Studio’s Dishonored.

In this game you play as Corvo Attano, the once trusted bodyguard of the Empress. Corvo returns to the aid of the empress only to be framed for her murder. Corvo is took in by the local authorities but everything changes once an unknown entity saves him from the grasp of injustice.

Sneaky Sneaky Is The Way Of The Dishonored Assassin

This game gives you some reminders of Assassin Creed (Bear in mind I only played the first Assassin Creed) in areas of the stealth the ability to navigate on the top of buildings and the city scenery to assassinate and kill your prey.

Unlike Assassin Creed, you have even more powers. In fact, they are supernatural. Your character can grow in levels of his supernatural abilities that include Dark Vision, Possession, Blink, Vitality, and more. There are over ten supernatural abilities available to you.

Along, with the powers are an diverse set of weapons. crossbows, pistols, grenades, and spring razors add diversity to killing your opponent if assassination by strangling or slicing goes old.

The game-play in the game works well. All actions of your sword is obligated to upper right shoulder buttons while other Power, Gadget and Quick Weapon Wheel Functions are located on the west.  The controls feel so well that I didn’t even bother mapping my quick action slots to late in the game.

The Beloved Emily Misses Her Mother

Well before Short And Simple Review goes long and complicated, I will express my concerns on the title. The AI can definitely be a beast but I am getting a little old in my age. I noticed other guys playing on Twitch.tv having problems as well. On the Bethesda Blog, I remember seeing someone say that you had control over AI in options down to even their health but I don’t see it in the options. There are many ways to approach your mission though there are a few times when there’s not many options and stealth seems even impossible.

So…

Short And Simple
Is It Fun? I had fun, even in death.
How’s The Soundtrack? The tunes are pretty good. A little above average.
Good Gameplay? Game-play works really well. I was a noob a lot at first and didn’t take advantage of the favorite slots or take time getting upgrades like I should had.
Does It Have Good Graphics? Graphics are awesome. Facial Expression, Character Design and more are over the top!
Good Online? This game doesn’t offer any online but it doesn’t need it.
Replayability? The game offers upgrades , hidden options, and more. If that isn’t enough, the upcoming DLC options should be.

“Play It!”
