This past Halloween, United Front Games And Square Enix released some terrifying DLC upon the world. Nightmare In North Point is the first story expansion to Sleeping Dogs. I will explain all of this in short fashion, as it’s mainly an add on.
Nightmare In North Point throws Sleeping Dogs’ star Wei Shen into a world of Hong Kong horror. The ghosts of triads past rise from Hell, bent on taking over the city and installing ‘Smiley Cat’ as the new Dragon Head. Wei must seek out the strongest Chinese magic to grant him the power to defeat the dead and restore sanity to the streets of Hong Kong.
Overall, I find the story bizarre, scary, and funny at the same time. Nonetheless, if you venture down this road there will be some entertainment.
ADG Short And Simple Video Review: Sleeping Dogs Nightmare In North Point
The gameplay in this game is pretty much the same as Sleeping Dogs even with the add on magic and the peach sword. The magic just seems to speed up your combos, adds a more poweful punch, and 2 or more so deadly finishing maneuvers. The same issues are still there when sometimes it seems as if you should of countered or a move should of connected and it doesn’t.

There isn’t much more this add-on adds with the exception of a few unlockables you can use in the main story and in Nightmare In North Point. None the less the price tag on PlayStation Network ($4.99), Xbox LIVE Marketplace (560 MSP) and Steam ($4.99) are very worth 2 or so hours of gameplay and add-on content. It’s quite a steal despite some reviewers bashing it for it not being longer.
