In November of 1997, Atlus first launched its cyberpunk-influenced RPG Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers in Japan. Now, 15 years later, the game is finally getting an English release.
As part of Atlus’ cult-classic Shin Megami Tensei series, Soul Hackers has been a game that fans have long wanted to play. Atlus originally considered bringing the PlayStation version of the game to North America, but at the time Sony Computer Entertainment of America nixed those plans.

Now—thanks to a reworking of the game for Nintendo’s 3DS—we English-speaking fans will finally get the chance to experience Soul Hackers. It’s a Christmas miracle!
…well, the announcement is. The game’s actual release is more of a “Spring 2013″ miracle.
