EXCLUSIVE ASSASSIN’S CREED: REVELATIONS INTERVIEW
Posted on October 30, 2011 AT 10:15am
The Buzz: This week’s edition of EGMi: The Digital Magazine features an exclusive interview with Assassin’s Creed: Revelations creative director Alex Amancio who dishes up some new info on the game including details about prequel missions, where exactly Desmond is, and the fine art of bombmaking.
“It’s mostly an Ezio game and this is the concluding chapter in his trilogy,” Amancio explains to EGM. “Obviously…Desmond is still there, but he’s in a coma after Brotherhood. So, it’s going to be a very different Desmond experience in Revelations that we haven’t gone into too much detail with. But what’s most interesting about this is that Ezio is actually the one playing as Altair; it isn’t Desmond going back via the Animus. This comes about because – as you find those keys of Altair as Ezio – you come to realize these are actually first-civilization artifacts, and they’re the predecessors to the Animus. So, in this story, you’ll get to witness the five key moments in Altair’s life – starting, actually, with the first one, which takes place with a very young Altair before Assassin’s Creed 1.”
