Warner Home Video have announced that a 70th Anniversary edition of “Casablanca” will be released on March 27.
Along with the classic film, which has been remastered, “Casablanca: 70th Anniversary 3-Disc Blu-ray + DVD Combo Edition” will include a ton of extras, including two new documentaries: “Michael Curtiz: The Greatest Director You Never Heard Of” and “Casablanca: An Unlikely Classic.”
The collection will also include a commentary by film critic and hardcore gamer Roger Ebert, a second commentary by film historian Rudy Behlmer, an introduction by actress Lauren Bacall (who was married to, and costarred in numerous films with, “Casablanca” leading man Humphrey Bogart), deleted scenes, outtakes, the Looney Tunes cartoon “Carrotblanca,” and well as numerous making-of and behind-the-scenes documentaries and featurettes.
Also included are four coasters in a keepsake box, a sixty-page photo book, and a reproduction from the 1942 French film poster.
“Casablanca: 70th Anniversary 3-Disc Blu-ray + DVD Combo Edition” will retail for $64.99, but is a limited and numbered edition so you might want to jump on it now.
