“Film Noir Classics III” DVD Announced

Turner Classic Movies and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced that “Film Noir Classics III” will be released on DVD…NOW!
The collection features 1945’s “My Name Is Julia Ross,” 1955’s “Drive A Crooked Road” with Mickey Rooney, 1951’s “The Mob” which featured an early appearance by Charles Bronson, 1955’s “Tight Spot” with Edward G. Robinson and Ginger Rogers, and the 1957 adaptation of David Goodis’ pulp novel “The Burglar” with Jayne Mansfield.
All of the films have been digitally remastered and are introduced by director Martin Scorsese, who is the founder and chair of The Film Foundation, a non-profit film preservation group. The collection also includes such extras as the original trailers and photo galleries of the posters and lobby cards.
“Film Noir Classics III” is available exclusively from http://shop.tcm.com for $49.99, though it’s currently on sale for $44.99.
