Winter is coming…soon

HBO Home Video have announced that the DVD and Blu-ray of “Game Of Thrones” will be out on March 6, 2012.

Besides the ten episodes, “Game Of Thrones: The Complete First Season” will also include commentaries on seven episodes, a making-of featurette, a guide to the noble houses, character profiles, interviews with the producers and author George R.R. Martin about translating the book to the show, a look at the Dothraki language, and a look at The Night Watch.

In addition, the Blu-ray will add optional on-screen info on the characters and locations, the history of the Seven Kingdoms, an optional on-screen dissection of the episode “A Golden Crown,” and some easter eggs (though do they really count as easter eggs if you announce them…and they’re dragon eggs?).

The DVD will retail for $59.99 while the Blu-ray will be $79.98.
