IDW Publishing has announced “In the Shadow of Dracula,” a collection of Victorian-era vampire stories, some of which influenced Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.”
The book features tales by M.R. James, Aleksei Tolstoy, John Polidori, Sheridan Le Fanu, as well as Stoker himself.
The stories were all chosen, and include introductions by Leslie S. Klinger, a literary scholar, author, and editor who previously put together the collection “The New Annotated Sherlock Holmes” and “The New Annotated Dracula.”
The book will also feature illustrations by Michael Manomivibul (“The Hellbound Train”).
“In the Shadow of Dracula” is available TODAY, October 11, and retails for $16.99.
