Warner Premiere have announced that “Justice League: Doom,” the next DC Comics animated movie, will be released on February 28, 2012.
Based on the graphic novel “JLA: Tower Of Babel” and a certain vintage ’toon, the film has the super friends fighting a group of super villains who’ve formed an alliance and bought themselves a club house under the name The Legion Of Doom.
Along with many of the voice actors who worked on “The Justice League” TV show — including Kevin Conroy as Batman and Tim Daly as Superman — the film also has Nathan Fillion doing Green Lantern as he did in the movie “Green Lantern: Emerald Knights.”
The film will be available on DVD and in a DVD/Blu-ray combo, with the latter version including such extras as a commentary track, featurettes on writer Dwayne McDuffie and Batman’s relationship with the JLA, two relevant episodes of “The Justice League,” and a sneak peek at the next animated DC Comics movie “Superman Vs. Elite.”
Both the DVD and DVD/BD Combo will also include a digital copy, though it was not detailed which of the other extras would also be included in the DVD edition.
The DVD will retail for $19.98 while the DVD/Blu-ray combo will be $24.98.
