Up, up, and away

Disney has announced that a 20th Anniversary Blu-ray of “The Rocketeer” will be released on December 13, 2011.

Directed by Joe Johnston (“Captain America: The First Avenger”), the film starred Billy Campbell (“The 4400”), Jennifer Connelly (“Hulk”), Alan Arkin (“Little Miss Sunshine”), Timothy Dalton (“License To Kill”), and Terry O’Quinn (“Lost”).

The movie also has a gaming connection, as it was co-written by Danny Bilson—THQ’s Executive Vice President, Core Games—and Paul DeMeo, who previously co-wrote such games as “007: Everything Or Nothing,” “GoldenEye: Rogue Agent,” “007: Nightfire,” “007: Agent Under Fire,” and “Medal Of Honor: Rising Sun,” as well as “Red Factions: Origins,” the TV movie based on the “Red Faction” games.

“The Rocketeer: 20th Anniversary Edition” will retail for $26.50.
