Going, going, gone!
A&E Networks Home Entertainment, in conjunction with Major League Baseball, have announced plans to release a series of the baseball’s most iconic games on DVD.
Being released under the heading Baseball’s Greatest Games, the first batch of ten will be available individually on September 6.
The first releases in the series will include game 7 of the 1960 World Series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and The New York Yankees, game 6 of the ’75 World Series between The Boston Red Sox and The Cincinnati Reds, game 6 of the 1966 World Series between The New York Mets and The Boston Red Sox, game 7 of the 1991 World Series between the Minnesota Twins and The Atlanta Braves, game 6 of the 1993 World Series between The Toronto Blue Jays and The Philadelphia Phillies, game 5 of the 1985 National League Championship Series between The St. Louis Cardinals and The Los Angeles Dodgers, game 7 of the 1992 National League Championship Series between The Pittsburgh Pirates and The Atlanta Braves, game 7 of the 2003 American League Championship Series between The Boston Red Sox and The New York Yankees, game 4 of the 2004 American League Championship Series between The Boston Red Sox and The New York Yankees, and a 1979 regular season game in which the Philadelphia Phillies were losing 21-9 to The Chicago Cubs but rallied back to win the game 23-22.
Try saying that ten times fast. Go on, we’ll wait.
Each one also comes with a recording of that game’s radio broadcast.
The DVDs will retail for $12.95 each.
