Down To Earth
DC Comics have announced that “Batman: Earth One” will be released this July.
Written by Geoff Johns (“Blackest Night”), and drawn by Gary Frank (“Superman: Secret Origin”), “Batman: Earth One” is a reinvention of the Caped Crusader that presents his origin story in modern times.
It is the second of three “Earth One” graphic novels, which have been compared in approach to Marvel’s Ultimate line. The first, “Superman: Earth One,” came out October 27, 2010, with a follow-up, “Superman: Earth One, Volume Two,” due out November 6.
A 144 page hardcover collection, “Batman: Earth One” will be available in comic book stores on July 4, and in bookstores on July 10. It will retail for $22.99.
