Warner Home Video have announced that they’ll release two Blu-ray boxed sets of gangster movies — one featuring classics of the genre and another with more recent films — on May 21.

Ultimate Gangster Collection: Classic has the movies The Public Enemy, White Heat, Little Caesar, and The Petrified Forest, all of which have been newly remastered in HD for this collection. In addition, each movie comes with a commentary, a making-of featurette, and other extras. The box will also include a full length documentary on crime films called Public Enemies: The Golden Age Of The Gangster Drama, as well as a thirty-two page booklet on the movies. It will retail for $49.99, though all four films will also be available separately for $19.98 each.

Ultimate Gangster Collection: Contemporary will include the movies GoodFellas, Heat, The Untouchables, Mean Streets, and The Departed, and will include its own thirty-two page booklet. Each film will also boast its own extras, including commentaries, trailers, making-of featurettes, deleted scenes, and more. It will also retail for $49.99.
