The Sentinel of Liberty is ready to come to your home

Paramount Home Video has announced the formats and extras for their upcoming release of “Captain America: First Avenger,” which will be available on October 25.

The movie will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, on Blu-ray in 3D, and on a 2-disc DVD/Blu-ray combo pack.

The single-disc DVD edition will include a commentary by Director Joe Johnston, Editor Jeff Ford, and Director Of Photography Shelly Johnson, as well as a making-of featurette “Outfitting A hero” and a second featurette on the upcoming “Avengers” movie.

The two-disc Blu-ray will also include the commentary and featurettes, but will add trailers, deleted scenes with optional commentary by Johnston, Ford, and Johnson, five additional featurettes, and a DVD with a digital copy and standard def version of the movie.

Finally, a three-disc 3D Blu-ray will include everything in the two-disc BD version, with a third disc containing the film in 3D.

No prices were mentioned by Paramount, but Amazon has them listed as $29.99 for the DVD, $42.99 for the Blu-ray, and $54.99 for the 3D BD HERE, though Amazon will actually sell them for less.
