Gary Goddard Entertainment and Video Services Corp. have announced plans to bring the ’80s CGI sci-fi show “Captain Power And The Soldiers Of The Future” and the ’90s sci-fi cartoon “Skeleton Warriors” to DVD.
“Captain Power,” which was the first TV show to combine CGI effects and live action, will have all twenty-two episodes presented in a four-disc set that also includes “Out Of The Ashes: The Making Of ‘Captain Power’” featurette; commentary by creator Gary Goddard with stars Tim Dunigan and Jessica Steen; a featurette called “Captain Power Season 2: Declassified” that discussed the show’s planned but canned second season; a gallery of concept art; and the TV movie “Captain Power: The Legend Begins,” which never aired in the U.S.
Goddard has also revealed that he and producer Roger Lay Jr. are working on a new version of the show.
As for the “Skeleton Warriors” set, this two-disc collection will include all thirteen episodes of the CBS Saturday Morning cartoon as well as “Bad To The Bone: The Making Of ‘Skeleton Warriors”; a gallery of concept art; the original promos; and commentary on select episodes by creator Goddard and co-producer Robert DeLapp.
The “Captain Power” collection will be available December 6 for $44.98, while “Skeleton Warriors” will be released the same day for 19.98.
