American Exceptionalism

Dark Horse Comics have announced that they’ll be publishing a comic book based on American McGee’s upcoming RPG Akaneiro: Demon Hunters. The game — a free-to-play, browser-based multiplayer RPG — is based on the story of Red Riding Hood, but with a mix of Japanese folklore.

The comic will be written by Justin Aclin (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) with art by Vasilis Lolos (Conan the Barbarian), with covers by artists from McGee’s studio, Spicy Horse.

The first issue of this three-issue miniseries will be released on May 22.
