All Mod Cons
Criterion have announced that they’ll release “Quadrophenia” — the movie based on the album by The Who — on DVD and Blu-ray on August 28.
Both versions will include the uncut version of the film, which has been digitally restored.
In addition, they’ll also include a new commentary by director Franc Roddam and the director of photography Brian Tufano, a new interview with co-producer and Who manager Bill Curbishley, a new interview with the band’s sound engineer Bob Pridden, a photo gallery, and a booklet that has an essay by critic Nick James, Pete Townsend’s liner notes from the album, and a personal history by a real mod.
The DVD will retail for $29.95 while the Blu-ray will be $39.95.
