Walking the walk

Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment have announced that a deluxe version of “The Walking Dead” novel “Rise Of The Governor” will be released on December 7, 2011.

Written by Robert Kirkman — the writer of the original “Walking Dead” comics and the writer/producer on the “Walking Dead” TV show — and Jay Bonansinga, “Governor” is the first of three planned “Walking Dead” novels.

Besides the original book, the deluxe edition will be leather bound, have a slipcase, and will feature spot illustrations by Charlie Adlard.

The regular version of “Governor” will retail for $74.99, while a limited edition version, which will be signed and numbered by Kirkman, will be $124.99.
