A+E Networks Home Entertainment and Major League Baseball Productions have announced that the latest in their “Baseball’s Greatest games” series will continue with the release of “2011 World Series, Game 6” on April 17.

The game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers was notable because it went into extra innings and only ended in the eleventh when David Freese hit a home run. The next day, ESPN baseball analyst Buster Olney called it the greatest game in the sport’s history.

Both the DVD and Blu-ray editions will retail for $24.95 each.
