Digging the grave

CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media have announced that a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack of the two-part “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” episode directed by Quentin Tarantino will be released on February 7, 2012.

Originally airing in 2005, the episode, called “Grave Danger,” was the finale of the fifth season, and was not only directed by Tarantino but co-written by him as well.

The episode is also notable for being the final performance of Frank Gorshin, who’s best know for playing The Riddler in the ’60s “Batman” show, and for his iconic guest appearance in the “Star Trek” episode “Let That Be Your Last Battlefield.” He passed away two days before “CSI” aired, and the episode was dedicated to his memory.
