Dark Horse Comics have released the first pages from the upcoming “Conan The Barbarian” comic.

Written by Brian Wood (“DMZ”) and illustrated by Becky Cloonan (“American Virgin”) — who previously collaborated on “Demo” and “Northlanders” — the book is an adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s 1934 Conan tale, “Queen Of The Black Coast.” In it, the Cimmerian takes to the high seas with the pirate queen Belit.

The first issue will be released on February 8, 2012.
