Walt Disney Home Video have announced that the DVD and Blu-ray of Frankenweenie will be released on January 8.

Along with the Tim Burton animated movie, the DVD edition will also include footage from the Frankenweenie touring exhibit and the music video for the Plain White T’s cover of The Ramones’ “Pet Sematary.”

Meanwhile, a two-disc DVD/Blu-ray combo pack will add a new short called “Captain Sparky Vs. The Flying Saucers,” a making-of featurette called “Miniatures In Motion: Bringing Frankenweenie To Life,” and the original 1984 Frankenweenie short film.

There will also be a four-disc DVD/BD combo, which will include all of the extras from the two-disc version, but will add a 3D version of the film as well as a digital copy.

The DVD will retail for $29.99, the two-disc DVD/BD combo will be $39.99, while the four-disc DVD/BD combo will be $49.99.
