IDW Publishing have announced that R.A. Salvatore, who previously wrote the game Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning as well as numerous fantasy novels, is co-writing a new Dungeons & Dragons comic series. The five issue miniseries, which he’s co-writing with his son Geno, is called Cutter, and its first issue will be out April 17.
This, of course, is not R.A.’s first foray in D&D, as he previously wrote a dozen books in the “Forgotten Realms” series, including the Icewind Dale Trilogy and the Dark Elf Trilogy.
The books will be illiustrated by David Baldeon (Young Allies).
In the announcement, it says that the series is about “When the battle-hardened Drow renegade Tos’un must choose an heir to his legacy, his half-Drow son Tierflin and daughter Doum’weille become locked in vicious competition. But what will the prize, the bloodthirsty sword Khazid’hea, have to say on the matter?”
The first issue of Dungeons & Draongs: Cutter will retail for $3.99.
