Fables Of Faubus

In honor of what would’ve been his 90th birthday, Mosaic Records will release a limited edition boxed set of jazz man Charles Mingus on September 18.

The six-disc Jazz Workshop Concerts 1964-65 will include more than two dozen tracks recorded live in New York, Amsterdam, Minneapolis, and Monterey, with only about one discs worth even officially released on CD before, while another disc and half’s worth of music has never been available in any format.

The box will be limited to 7,500 copies, and will retail for $102.00. It can be preordered from Mosaic’s official site.
