Ozzy Osbourne has announced that, in honor of Record Store Day — which is Saturday, April 21 — he’ll be releasing a live album and live single as numbered, limited edition vinyl.
The album, called Ozzy Live, consists of tracks originally released in the Expanded Edition of his 1980 solo debut, Blizzard Of Ozz, and in the Legacy Edition of his second solo album, 1981’s Diary Of A Madmen. It includes eleven songs recorded during the Blizzard tour, including such classics as “Crazy Train,” “Flying High Again,” and three songs from Ozzy’s time with Black Sabbath: “Iron Man,” “Children Of The Grave,” and “Paranoid.”
It also includes the 2010 Guitar & Vocal mix of “Goodbye To Romance” and an outtake from the Blizzard sessions called “RR,” which is a solo guitar piece by Ozzy’s guitarist, the late Randy Rhodes.
Besides the concert collection, Ozzy is also releasing a 7-inch vinyl single of the song “Believer” and the 2010 Guitar & Vocal mix of “Goodbye To Romance” from Ozzy Live as a black & white polka dot picture disc. The image was inspired by Rhodes’ famous polka dot guitar.
Both releases come two days after the 30th anniversary of Rhodes’ death.
