Reissue of Megadeth’s Video Game-Friendly Countdown To Extinction Album Announced

Capitol/EMI have announced that a 20th anniversary deluxe edition of Megadeth’s Countdown to Extinction — songs from which have appeared in such games as the original Guitar Hero, G.H.5, Brutal Legend, and FlatOut2 — will be released on November 6.
Besides a remastered version of the original album, the two-disc collection will include a 1992 concert recorded at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, four postcards, a poster, and liner notes by music journalist Kory Grow.
Megadeth have also announced a Countdown To Extinction 20th Anniversary Tour, on which the band will play the entire album. Tickets for the tour go on sale September 13 (the 12th if you’re in the fan club).
