Back in Black

Dark Horse Comics have announced a new “Conan The Barbarian” comic will be released on February 8, 2012.

Written by Brian Wood (“DMZ”) and illustrated by Becky Cloonan (“Demo”), “Queen Of The Black Coast” is an adaptation of a story by “Conan” creator Robert E. Howard. In it, the Cimmerian takes to the high seas with the pirate queen Belit.

Dark Horse Comics have also revealed that Wood and artist Kristian Donaldson (“Supermarket”) will be doing an ongoing series called “The Massive.”

In it, a group of direction-action environmentalists on a boast find themselves searching the oceans for their sister ship after a massive ecological disaster destroys society.

“The Massive” will initially be featured in issues 8, 9, and 10 of “Dark Horse Presents” — which will be out in January, February, and March 2012, respectfully — with the series kicking off its own books in June.
