Thundercats, Ho!

Warner Brothers Home Video have announced that the first collection of the new “Thundercats” cartoon will released on DVD on October 18.

“Thundercats: Season 1, Book 1” will include the first eight episodes, including the two-parter that kicked the series off a few weeks ago. They did not indicate what extras, if any, would be included.

The new “Thundercats,” which airs Friday nights at 8:30 on Cartoon Network, in a reinvention of the classic anamorphic sci-fi series. It is being done by Studio 4ºC, who previously did “Transformers Animated” and “Tekkon Kinkreet.” with voices by Will Friedle (“Batman Beyond”) as Lion-O and Emmanuelle Chriqui (“Entourage”) as Cheetara.

“Thundercats: Season 1, Book 1” will be available for $19.97.
