Rush, Rush, oooh what you do to me…
Rush have announced that they will release three boxed sets, which will cover their first fifteen albums — on November 21. The boxes will be released by Universal Music Enterprises.
“Sector 1” will include remastered CDs of their 1974 self-titled debut, 1975’s “Fly By Night,” 1975’s “Caress Of Steel,” 1976’s “2112,” and 1976’s live album “All The World’s A Stage,” as well as a surround sound DVD-audio version of “Fly.”
Along the same lines, “Sector 2” will include 1977’s “A Farewell To Kings,” 1978’s “Hemispheres,” 1980’s “Permanent Waves,” 1981’s “Moving Pictures,” 1981’s live album “Exist…Stage Left,” and a surround sound DVD-audio version of “Kings.”
Lastly, “Sector 3” will have 1982’s “Signals,” 1984’s “Grace Under Pressure,” 1985’s “Power Windows,” 1987’s “Hold Your Fire,” 1988’s live album “A Show Of Hands,” and a surround sound DVD-audio version of “Signals.”
Every album has been “transferred to high resolution 96kHz/24-bit audio and digitally remastered for optimal quality,” while each CD will come in a mini replica of the original record sleeves, with the three boxed sets together resembling a road case.
No price for these collections have been announced.
