Rushmore Coming to Blu-Ray

Here Comes the Rush
Criterion have announced that they are bringing Wes Anderson’s Rushmore to Blu-ray on November 15.
The collection will feature the director’s cut of the movie, which has been given a new high-def digital transfer supervised by Anderson. It will also feature DTS-HD Master Audio sound as well as a commentary by Anderson, co-writer and star Owen Wilson, and actor Jason Schwartzman.
Also included are “The Making of Rushmore” featurette, cast audition footage, Anderson’s hand-drawn storyboards and a film-to-storyboard comparison, the original trailer, a collectible poster, an essay by film critic David Kehr, the episode of The Charlie Rose Show with Anderson and star Bill Murray, and “Max Fischer Players Present,” a series of “theatrical adaptations” of the movies Armageddon, The Truman Show, and Out of Sight which were done for the 1999 MTV Movie awards.
The Criterion Blu-ray of Rushmore will be available for $39.95.
