Former Guns ’N Roses and Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash has announced that he’ll release his second solo album on May 22.
The as-yet-untitled album feature his current touring band (vocalist Myles Kennedy, bassist Todd Kerns, and drummer Brent Fitz), is being produced by Eric Valentine, who handled those duties on Slash’s first solo disc, and will be released by the guitarist’s maturely-named record label, Dik Hayd International.
A world tour to support the album is also in the works, and while no dates have been announced, the announcement included a Q&A with Slash in which he said, “Right now we’re starting off with radio shows in the states and then we’ll do as much of Europe as possible. We’ll also tour in Asia and Australia, and try to hit South Africa this year as well as India and a couple other spots. Trying to just broaden our horizons a bit.”
