CBS TV and NCM Fathom have announced that a one-night-only event celebrating the 25th anniversary of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” will hit movie theaters on July 23.

Being held a day before “Star Trek: The Next Generation: Season One” is released on Blu-ray — which has to be a coincidence, right? — the event will include two popular episodes from that season: “Where No One Has Gone Before” and “Datalore.” These will be introduced by “Trek” experts Mike and Denise Okuda, who assisted in the show’s upgrade to high-def, and will include a look at the Blu-ray’s special features.

All of the screenings will be held at 7:00PM, though some theaters will have late night shows as well.
