As part of a series of quick comment interviews done by Japanese publication PlayStation Dengeki, Gravity Rush director Keiichiro Toyama had an interesting comment about the game’s upcoming sequel.
Originally announced during the festivities of Tokyo Game Show 2013, news on the new Gravity Rush (titled Gravity Daze in Japan) game has been very quiet, but Toyama has an answer for that:
“It’s been a long time since new information about the new Gravity Daze has surfaced, but people will understand immediately why when they see new footage.”
Now, sure, he’s not out-and-out saying that the game’s coming to Sony’s next-gen console, but I can’t think of any other way to interpret such a comment but that. And, really, as much as many of us would love to see Gravity Rush 2 (or whatever it’ll be called) come to the Vita, it just makes far more sense to move it to the PS4 where it’ll do more good—and have bigger potential for selling copies.
