Rovio has released the first gameplay footage of its latest entry into the Angry Birds franchise, Angry Birds Star Wars, yes that’s right Star Wars!

After a short little skit with an Angry Bird version of Luke and Leia the action finally begins, showing the Luke bird swinging his lightsaber before hitting blocks and the Leia bird firing off blaster shots to take down the Darth Piggies. Basically the game plays just like the Angry Birds you know and love except with Star Wars character Birds and some nice backgrounds such as the Tatooine one shown in the video.

The game is due out November 8 for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and PC.
