THE BUZZ: Gears of War 3 is the biggest and most talked about game on the Xbox 360 right now, and the numbers certainly reflect this.

Yesterday, September 20th, Gears of War 3 launched worldwide and was enjoyed by thousands of gamers. At one point towards the end of the day there were a total of 300,000 people playing the game’s co-op campaign and online modes, and that figure doesn’t include those playing offline.

EGM’s TAKE: For a launch day these numbers are pretty impressive, and we can’t wait to see the first week sales figures when they come in.
