THE BUZZ: THQ and Random House have announced that a novel based on the games “Darksiders” and “Darksiders II” will be out in May.

EGM’S TAKE: The book is set millennia before the events of the game, and find Death, War, and their fellow horsemen trying to stop a plot to locate some powerful weapons that will plunge the universe into war.

“Darksiders: The Abomination Vault” is being written by Ari Marmell, whose credits include “The Goblin Corps,” “The Conqueror’s Shadow,” and “Warlord’s Legacy,” as well as the “Magic: The Gathering”-inspired novel “Agents Of Artifice.”
