100,000+ XP Per Game ‘Exploit’ in Battlefield 3—Should DICE Fix This?

THE BUZZ: In this video, YouTube member DarkSydeGeoff shows Battlefield 3 players how they can easily get a massive amount of XP from just one match of the game.
EGM’s TAKE: The question I’d like to bring up isn’t if you knew about this “exploit” or not—it’s what you think should be done about it. Unlike other “cheats”, where glitches are being used to do things never intended to be done in a game, with this, it’s a completely normal function that was in the game from the start.
How should we, as players, react to things like this being found in games? Do exploits like this ruin games such as Battlefield 3? Should we demand that DICE find some way to nerf this ability to rack up so much XP? Or is this a natural part of the game the way it was intended, and should DICE leave it in?
This reminds me in some ways to the exploit that currently exists in Dark Souls. While that is definitely a glitch that isn’t supposed to be available, there’s valid arguments to be made on both sides of the issue. Those who support the glitch say it helps them enjoy the game more, while those against it say it ruins the natural progression of the game, and gives players an unfair advantage when it comes to PVP.
It’s a very complicated issue—so I’d love to hear your opinions in the comments below.
