20 Million Unique Players Log Into Call Of Duty Every Month

THE BUZZ: Activision has revealed that over 20 million unique players log into Call Of Duty titles every month.

WHAT WE KNOW: With consumer spending getting tighter and tighter in the current economic climate gamers are being very careful with what they purchase with many preferring to stick to franchises that they know.

In a recent interview with Gi.biz, Activision Publishing CEO, Eric Hirshberg revealed that the number of unique players across the Call of Duty franchise is now at around 20 million.

EGM’s TAKE: With such a major franchise as Call of Duty this sort of figure is to be expected as some gamers will simply wait for the next game in the franchise to be released and make that their only purchase of the year.
