THE BUZZ: Even though Gears of War 3 doesn’t officially release until midnight, more than 22,000 players are currently online.

Gears of War 3 officially releases at midnight tonight, however a lot of people are already enjoying both the game’s campaign and multiplayer. Over 19,000 players are currently working their way through the campaign and around 3,000 are sampling the multiplayer.

EGM’s TAKE: We are all very jealous of those 22,000 people and can’t wait until tomorrow to add our numbers to the list.
