Activision has today announced that 2.8 million people have registered to take part in the Call of Duty: Elite beta.

The beta began today on the Xbox 360 with a limited amount of people being granted access to the new service.

Activision has promised that more and more people will be brought into the beta over the next few weeks.

Around 10% of the Call of Duty fanbase has now signed up to take part in the beta according to Activision, however they are still to give any word on the price of a paid subscription.
