THE BUZZ: 2K Marin is working on a new intellectual property alongside the first person shooter XCOM title that they are currently developing.

A resume for 2K Marin’s Hogarth de la Plante, lists the unknown title alongside XCOM. The resume claims that he is an, ”Art Director on a 5-person director team responsible for defining a new IP for 2K Games based out of the 2K Marin development studio.”

EGM’s TAKE: It appears that the game is still in pre-production at the moment as the resume also mentioned that he is responsible for pitching it to publishing. Based on previous work by the studio this should be a title to keep on the radar, if it makes it to development. Hogarth is a talented man, having work on Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and now XCOM, so we look forward to seeing what he and his team come up with. Don’t expect to see this unannounced game until after XCOM releases in 2013, as the team will be plowing most of their resources into getting this delicate game just right for core and new fans alike.
