THE BUZZ: Frank O’Connor, Franchise Director for Halo and 343 Industries boss, has confirmed that Halo 4 is not in development for the next generation of consoles.

Rumors began circulating after the teams decision not to show any gameplay at E3, and the speculation that Microsoft is readying a new console, however this was shut down by O’Conner: ”Halo 4 will be on Xbox 360 and use a modified core of the Halo engine(s). Not really a singular engine since it goes through fairly radical evolutions all the time,” he said.

EGM’s TAKE: It was a long shot to think that it would be a next generation title, but you can bet your bottom dollar that the nest two in this trilogy will be.
