343 Industries: Halo 4 Spartan Ops is Bigger Than Halo 3: ODST

Following Halo 4‘s Achievement list reveal yesterday fans have been voicing their concerns about the game being too short as it only contains eight missions, but 343′s Frank O’ Connor has assured them that the game is by no means short.

In a NeoGAF thread about the subject O’Connor, using his “Stinkles” handle said, “Number of missions has no bearing on the length of the campaign. It’s a Halo sized campaign. PLUS Spartan Ops etc.”

343′s designer David Ellis also commented under his “lybertyboy” handle, “[Spartan Ops] season alone is longer than [Halo 3: ODST]. Spartan Ops and Campaign are completely separate teams. As Frank mentioned earlier, the main campaign is substantial and will compare favorably with previous entries in the series.”

So it appears that fans are going to get quite a lot of value for their money when Halo 4 comes out later this year, which is always a good thing in a gaming world full of ever shortening campaigns.

Are you worried about the game’s length? Share your thoughts below.
