3DS Software Slumps In Japan Despite Price Cut
Posted on August 25, 2011 AT 03:59pm

The Nintendo 3DS dominated hardware sales in Japan but despite that, software slumped for the week ending August 21st.
Only three games made it into the Japan top 20: Pokemon Rumble Blast, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, and Nintendogs + Cats. There was good news for Nintendo, however, with Rhythm Heaven topping the charts again with 48,190 units sold. Nintendo also held half of the top ten titles which included Kirby Mass Attack, Wii Sports Resort with Remote Plus, Pokemon Rumble Blast, and Legend of Zelda all joining the aforementioned Rhythm Heaven.
Hopefully in the future the 3DS and Nintendo will see an increase in their software sales in Japan. In the meantime, they can enjoy the fact that, overall, sales are good.
